Incent Valuation was called upon in the context of a dispute between an internationally renowned Bordeaux château and a Parisian restaurant.

The mission concerned the assessment of the economic damage suffered by the wine company due to the unauthorized use of its brand for the restaurant's services and communication. The dispute concerned in particular the confusion created between the famous wine brand and the restaurant establishment, leading to confusion in the minds of consumers.

The Incent team analyzed several aspects of the damage, in particular the depreciation of the brand resulting from its exploitation by the restaurant, the impact on the prestigious image of the wine, as well as the competitive advantage unduly captured by the restaurant.
